The BMS-EV Controller is manufactured to CE and RoHS compliance requirements applicable to information-technology and industrial-control electronics placed on the EU market. This page states what that covers and what documentation is available.
The short version. The BMS-EV Controller is manufactured to CE/RoHS compliance standards for the EU market. An EU Declaration of Conformity (DoC) is available on request per hardware revision. The device is a low-voltage information-technology / industrial-control appliance; it does not itself contain a battery. Installation of the complete home-storage system (battery, inverter, wiring) is subject to national grid codes and electrical-installation standards, which fall on the installer.

The following harmonised European standards inform the design and testing of the controller. Full test reports and the EU Declaration of Conformity are held under NDA and released per hardware revision on request.

Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 (replacing Directive 2006/66/EC) is the current EU legal framework for batteries. Selected provisions relevant to second-life EV pack reuse:
Under the regulation, complete EV battery packs may lawfully be repurposed for stationary storage subject to documentation, safety assessment and notification obligations. See EU second-life regulations for the operator-level detail.
The BMS-EV Controller falls within the scope of the WEEE Directive (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). At end of life the device must be handed to a collection point for separate treatment. The crossed-out wheeled-bin symbol on the enclosure indicates this obligation. National WEEE registrations are maintained where required.
Installation of the complete storage system (battery + controller + inverter + AC/DC wiring) is subject to standards that fall on the electrical installer, not the controller itself. Reference points:
The DoC is issued per hardware revision. State your revision (visible on the enclosure label) when requesting.

The controller is CE-marked under LVD, EMC and RoHS with an EU Declaration of Conformity per hardware revision. It is not marketed as UL-listed or TUV-certified — those marks require separate scheme testing. If your installation environment requires a specific mark (for example, insurance in the US), verify with your local authority before ordering.

Grid-parallel operation of a storage inverter typically requires operator notification or a formal connection agreement. The exact threshold (kW) and process vary by country and operator. Your installer handles this.
The crossed-out bin on the enclosure means the controller is WEEE-in-scope. Return it to a municipal collection point or to us for take-back at end of life. Do not dispose of it as household waste.
No. The BMS-EV Controller has no internal battery cells. It interfaces with the EV pack over CAN and controls contactors. The EV pack itself is subject to the Batteries Regulation.
