What has actually been built with BMS-EV controllers, what can be independently verified, and what remains under customer confidentiality.
Direct answer. One BMS-EV deployment has third-party published coverage: a Kia EV6 (77.4 kWh E-GMP) paired with a SOFAR HYD 15KTL-3PH, described in PV Magazine Deutschland (July 2026). Beyond that, 22 distinct battery + inverter pairs across 17 battery families have shipped into production installations. Individual installation details are not published because customers have not consented to it — so this page lists what pairs are in production, not who runs them or how many.
What this page does and does not claim. BMS-EV does not publish customer names, locations, installation photographs, measured state-of-health figures or per-installation performance data, because the customers concerned have not given consent for that. What is published here is: (a) deployments that a third party has already written about publicly, and (b) the set of battery + inverter pairs that have been ordered and shipped into production use. Unit counts per pair and customer countries are deliberately omitted. Anything below that is not attributed to a named external source is a BMS-EV statement about its own shipping records.
| Battery pack | Kia EV6, 77.4 kWh E-GMP, 192s2p, SK Innovation NMC pouch cells |
|---|---|
| Pack nominal voltage | ~697 V (per batterydesign.net teardown) |
| Hybrid inverter | SOFAR HYD 15KTL-3PH (three-phase, 15 kW, 180–800 V DC battery window, two battery input channels) |
| Protocol | Kia E-GMP native CAN → BYD Battery-Box HVS emulation |
| Controller | BMS-EV controller, hardware HW3.1, firmware 16.5.0 |
| State-of-charge policy | Maximum SoC limited to approximately 95 % so the pack stays below the inverter's 800 V DC ceiling at full charge |

| Third-party coverage | PV Magazine Deutschland, July 2026 — feature article on reusing EV battery packs for home solar storage, which covers BMS-EV technology and references this configuration |
This is the reference case for the E-GMP 800 V-class family. The engineering point it demonstrates is the SoC ceiling. Note that the voltage figures below are calculated from published cell data rather than measured on this installation: an E-GMP 77.4 kWh pack has a calculated full-charge voltage of approximately 806 V (192 series cell groups × 4.2 V per cell at 100 % SoC; nominal 697 V corresponds to 192 × 3.63 V per the SK Innovation cell specification). This is derived from cell data, not from a measurement on this installation, which is above the SOFAR HYD's 800 V DC limit. Capping maximum SoC at around 95 % keeps the pack under that ceiling with margin, and independently improves calendar life. Full technical detail is on the Hyundai/Kia E-GMP page.
The following pairs have been ordered, configured, bench-tested and shipped into production installations. This is a statement about BMS-EV's own shipping records, not about long-term field performance — for the distinction between shipped, bench-tested and field-verified, see verification levels.
17 battery families, 22 distinct pairs. Unit counts and customer locations are intentionally not shown.

Publishing an installation as a case study requires the customer's consent to disclose the configuration, the location and often photographs. BMS-EV customers have generally not given that consent, and BMS-EV does not publish installation data without it. The one exception on this page is the Kia EV6 + SOFAR HYD configuration, which entered the public record through PV Magazine Deutschland's own reporting.
If you have a BMS-EV installation and are willing to have it documented — anonymously or attributed — you can submit the technical details through the integration report template on GitHub. Reports that include a consent statement are what move a pair from protocol verified to field verified in the Compatibility Matrix.
